Folks slam the 70's as a dark time in music. I completely disagree. The Carpenters for instance, in that time, were kind of a joke to us mulletted Yes/Zep/Rush fans of that era.
But.... When you listen to those beautiful harmonies that only the Carpenters could provide, it gives you a lump in your throat....admit it.....

Rush- being a drummer first, I have to bow down to Peart. Thin Lizzy- oh those harmonies... I always wondered if they could be played on an SG12. Joe Bonamassa- I have a soft spot for blues rock, and I've been having fun working out some of his tracks on my NS.
