Post Stickmen @ Roxy & Dukes
Tony and Co. put the metal to the metal last nite @ the place i cook. Everybody was fed by the time they hit the stage so i got to stand in the back of the room (50 ft. away) and take it all in. The interplay between Tony and Markus was such that you really had to be watching to see who was playing what. Tony has definitely expanded his melody-side playing- new compositions from an as yet unreleased (i think) recording. I talked to him briefly when i came in to prep, and was there for the soundcheck. Yeah, me and the soundman and about 5 other people. 3 men on stage moving an empty room full of air. The sonic density was incredible (we have a great P.A.- and the room is small.) So if you can get to the Iridium in NYC to see them WITH STEVE ADELSON OPENING i would suggest so. (so yeah im practicing my two-hand bass/and melody technique...)
