A month STICK-less
Musings...Been quiet, I'm about to complete a month without a STICK , a mistake I'll never make again. However its been good to reflect on where I'm at look at the path forward with instrument, Stickist has been handy and then I think ARGhhhhhhhh (alleged Pirate sound) why didn't I bring it, long story. Anyway I do have the Ships Takamine 6 daily, so my ex fingerpicking self has re-emerged which is fun, got some songs together, learnt some ones. 6 days until the big A380 from Singapore to Australia, the new Maple Grand will hopefully be as excited as the dog when i turn up. Not long until its nearly a year since STICKCAMP already, lots of open mics and things to do at home, need more pictures like the one below, tap on, Stick folks. Feeling Inspired, seemed like the best part of the board for this.Maybe a little break is healthy sometimes.

Re: A month STICK-less
Agreed on that PB. If I have to travel for work I don't like to go a single day without it. Even if I am only able to break it out for an hour or so after a day's work, it's nice just having it.
Looking at it.
To see.
If I still liked it.

Re: A month STICK-less
Y'know, after I posted my "All Of Me" tune, (get the whole thing down in one day) my mind was so fried I barely played for a few days! hahaha Melt-down...
I think downtime is required for our instrument sometimes? Maybe to just let us digest all that crazy two handed music we work on...?

Re: A month STICK-less
I also have gone over a month! I have a Railboard and travel back and forth between Texas and Colorado. I didn't want to risk checking it and worried that airlines wouldn't let me carry it on. So I left it in Colorado and am sitting stickless in Dallas waiting for a bamboo 10 string to be delivered (tracking number sez Monday!). I've been compulsively watching Tony Levin and Kevin Keith videos on You Tube to pass the time. Anyone have luck traveling via plane with their stick?

Re: A month STICK-less
I travel by air often and always carry it on in a soft case , around Australia and Asia, no problems, it goes in overhead lockers much easier than alot of bags i see taken on board by those who really push the boundaries
