Harmonics on the Stick are do-able but a little challenging to get them to ring like
this video. Guitar harmonics on the backing track imo. I have no problem with that,
but I think the idea was to give the impression that the guy was playing them on the Stick at the break which he is not. You never see anybody doing that because it's hard :roll:.

The cool thing about harmonics on the Stick is that they exist all over the instruments strings
at specific intervals using the baring finger as the nut or capo :geek: It takes a really precise
finger placement and when you can get it right it is a really nice ornament.

I've seen Bob Culbertson rock some mean harmonics, and I'm trying to remember where. It might have been a group Skype lesson at Oz Music in Ann Arbor one night for the MiStick (Michigan Stick) gathering. I think one of us asked about harmonics and he whipped a bunch out. (not that anyone is surprised by that!) I know I've seen others. I think.

I'm sorry, that was almost a pitchforks and torches moment. :) I thought this guy was making those harmonics on the Stick, which the title of this thread would suggest is the point of the video.

Guitar? I can Stick Sync to record a performance that didn't get recorded the first time--heck, "music videos" are rarely a live performance, so it's all acting and fakery.

But these harmonics aren't even a Stick? :cry:

Just an opinion, I could be wrong but I just played along with that track and got the same notes no sweat; harmonics at the 12th, 7th and 5th fret on a guitar EBG strings a la EVH "Running With The Devil "(copious amounts of delay). Also sounds like the distorted bits in the track are guitars too, Stick looks and sounds like a bass role... (Definitely sounds cool, not disputing that)

I guess I now know what it takes to be perceived as musical here, eh? hahahaha

It's pretty doable in my opinion. From 2015, never really developed it though.

To my ears, it sounds like Stick harmonics fed thru a Digital Delay.
I'm able to achieve the same 'Harmonic' sound with my Strymon TimeLine.

Well maybe he is getting them with the Stick, I don't know. I don't really know how to play a Stick, so maybe it is all Stick. I DO know that those exact harmonics come together real quick on a guitar, I already figured it out... All good not gonna argue, sounds great however he put it together...
