My brother turned me on to this series, kind of similar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kds7LV0PqJE I love the knobs videos, but i was kind of disappointed that it ended up being more of an ambient/sound piece, rather than a song. I always thought it would be neat to give a few different musicians/bands the same lyrics and chords and see how they all interpreted it. There was (is?) a cool series from AV Club where bands do their style covers of other songs... Gwar covering Kansas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7EVersJ6ts (sorry, I cant figure out how to embed youtube...) |

This video was cool. I like the format and the feel of it. Subscribed. And, I agree, the knobs stuff is pretty far out - it feels like it's more for people that like to buy and sell pedals and experiment. I qualify for that, but I also like a song, with lyrics and a beginning, a middle and an end. Embedding takes a little experimentation. Just right click the video, copy the url and try setting that in between the [youtube2] bits. There's at least 3 other tutorials on the Stickist if you search for it. Perhaps a song learn is in order, we could start with that. I was thinking TFF's Mad World seeing as how that has been popular with some others here. |
