Post Arranging Basics - Part 1
My Patreon pals have asked that I talk about how I think about arranging for solo Stick this month, so here's part 1 of a 2 parter on some basic arranging concepts that I employ pretty regularly! As always, exercises and more are availalbe at http://www.patreon.com/jgoldbergmusic. Enjoy!

Hey Josh.

Awesome as always! This is a good road map for getting songs down, I'm looking forward to trying some of this tonight.

Nice walking bass.

It's holidays so I did this.

The first two courses of this performance are transcribed here.

I know it's easy to go down the rabbit hole of a great bass line and that this takes time, but thanks to your inspiration and achievements towards bass line fluency, I've moved closer to this way of playing.

See attached, thanks Josh.

Looking forward to watching this soon. Arranging for the Stick has become my most favorite aspect of playing these days. A disciplined approach will allow you to make short work even of the most challenging songs.

Enjoying this topic Josh. Thanks for sharing. Arranging is also my favourite part. It’s like putting to get her a giant jigsaw puzzle it’s cool when all the pieces fall into place I never really know how the tune will end
