In addition to being a great musician, Bob has quite a limber neck.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't seen this one until now.

I met Bob at the Vancouver/Gabriola Is. Seminar in 2011. He inspired me in ways never expected. Like...whenever everyone was on a break, most were frantically practicing Stick out in the woods or whatever. And Bob was playing hackey sack. Or throwing a frisbee with his kids.

When every Stick player was playing through big racks of amplification or tons of pedals, Bob played through a small combo amp. Clean.

Nothing wrong with practice, rigs, or pedals. But, his simplicity lifestyle and kind, gentle conversation expanded my Stick playing beyond my expectation. Less is more.

Good stuff.

I think he's using a capo, and i think that explains how he was able to strum the Stick.

YES! A true bard in every sense. He doesn't fancy himself a Stickist so much as a musician, a very adept and proficient musician.

To strum it. As if he had open strings

The damper stops the strings from vibrating unless they're fretted. The capo keeps the strings fretted so you can play them "open". He's actually got two capos - the lowest bass string is fretted 1/2-step lower than the others.
