Boris! That is awesome! I think one of my new "fantasy tunes" would be
a Bazurov & Eno production :-) ...

Boris,

Please pay no heed to the close-minded naysayers, they are musical luddites. Without the adventurous and daring, we'd all be listening to the same regurgitated pap and there would be no evolution of our art form.

Kudos to you for stretching out beyond the cliched.

With respect,
James

James,

I'm going to preface this reply by saying that you're one of the people I like hearing from on this forum. Your posts usually convey a sense of kindness and good will to the other members of this community. But I must take issue with this last comment. I simply stated, first of all, that I admired and was impressed by some of the techniques that Boris was using, (and I actually got a few ideas by watching the video), but I just didn't care for the end result. I would think that this is far from negative; I just didn't PERSONALLY care for his choice of notes, but I do admire Boris's sense of imagination and can only encourage this. I, for one, am not a "closed-minded luddite". If I was, I don't think I would have ended up being a Stick player!. As far as I could tell, the two other members who didn't care for the music were stating this in the same respectful way and exercising their right to their opinions (well, except for good 'ol Tritone). Resorting to name-calling because someone's reaction was different from yours IS what I'd call closed-minded. This is beneath you, James. I'm sure you already know that. Best to you - Matt

Dear colleagues!
My level of knowledge of English language does not allow to understand your discussion deeply.
In any case, not take all too close to heart. It only play on a musical instrument. =)

Once again thanks for a post to Greg!

Matt,

You are right, my "luddites" comment was overly harsh, and inappropriate. I apologize if I offended you or anyone else.

Note to self: Don't comment on a public forum after having a really bad day.

Sincerely and regretfully,
James

No problem, James. We're cool 8-) Maybe I took it too directly; a talent I have in spades

Boris, keep pushing the boundaries. You are confident and daring, two qualities I like very much in a musician.

Wow. Wouldn't it be great if all personal, political and social issues were solved this way?
