Post Looping musicians
It has been a while since I have employed looping in my repertoire, but the idea of it remains, nagging in the back of my thoughts.

Looping-bassist Steve Lawson recently posted an article about looping musicians;

Take care,

For anyone interested, here's a link directory for videos covering all kinds of live looping:

I loop a lot live myself, but not much with the Stick. I appreciate that the Stick lets me get away a bit from the need to use looping to create multi part music on the fly. When looping my fav instrument is an alto flute, because I like the challenge to create harmony and multiple parts from a monophonic source instrument.

A few years ago we went through this "attack of the loop station clones" (particularly in Australia, it seems), where every other acoustic guitarist armed him/herself with a rhythm stompbox, didgeridoo, rudimentary blues/slide riffs, and a Boss RC-20. Yay - instant one man band! (Only thousands of them, all sounding the same).

One Aussie who started out with a guitar and a looper is "Dub FX". He took a different path and developed a very successful style using beat boxing and vocal effects:
