Post Dealing with Sadness
I barely knew Virginia. However, I have been in a funk for a few days. Very sad. Some here were her friends. I just thought I would start this thread as a catharsis. If anyone needs to talk about their feelings.

Also sometimes people need to take action to deal with a loss.

So is there anywhere/anyone to send our condolences?
Is there a foundation we could contribute to, in her name?

How about a positive action? posting songs in her honor, or starting a scholarship to get a stick into a deserving young girl's/boy's hands.

Just some thoughts. Please feel free to tell us how YOU are feeling?

Peace
Brett

Post Re: Dealing with Sadness
I didn't know Virna beyond internet correspondence. I had listened to her music and felt moved by her playing. When I messaged her, telling of how good her composition and playing was to me, she graciously responded in a way that made me feel like an important person in her life. God makes many varieties of flowers, but few are as special or as lovely as Virna was. God bless her and give peace and acceptance to those she left behind.

One idea is to donate to Dan's Chapdoc project.

http://www.chapdoc.com/

The money will go directly to his finishing the edit of Virna's documentary footage. This will then be posted on Stick.com.

I think this will be a beautiful way of paying tribute to a wonderful person.

Hi Brett,

It's a really nice suggestion. SE has already agreed to help Dan get this portion of the footage converted form PAL and edited. We'll be posting a segment on the page I'm working on for the SE site.

But anyone who wants to help support Dan's project in general, please follow the link Brett posted.

There are plenty of other things you can do. If you have a YouTube account you can favorite Virginia's videos you like and make comments about them.

I've been calling some friends who I haven't seen in a while who are suffering from depression just to check in and let them know I'm thinking about them.

If you have any of her CDs just put them on and fill your head with the music.
