This is kind of funny as it is a masters thesis about Metheny

I say funny because it basically shows how much of methenys higher speed improvistory materials are based on variations on a single fingering .....

it is actually literally as easy as 123 (on varying string groups)

well it really all works because his phrasing and time and composition/melodic sense are great



Someone might find it useful
seems like that fingering concept would apply pretty well to the stick

particularly stickists who use a 3 finger technique in the right hand
