Sometimes the simplest things can mean so much. Regarding ruts or slumps that can occur from time to time in your Stick playing... something as simple as taking a nice walk can invigorate your playing and "loosen" you up for new and pleasing musical expressions. I write this, because that's what I just did! |

A walk is fine, a lesson is better. IMHO. |

What if your rut is so deep and long that you can't walk your way out of it? seriously though, good luck I agree a change of scenery can go along way Brett |

wow... It was so simple what I was talking about. Just how nice life can be with unexpected simple pleasures. Paying for a lesson? Clinical depression? Not what I was referring to, but just like unexpected pleasures you get unexpected downers. |

Trilok Gurtu would always go for walks to clear his head and let new music come through. Makes sense hey?! |

When I go for walks all the old ear worms come out to play - but I found an antidote to The Birdy Song: http://www.notjustballoons.co.uk/choke-turkey.html Every home should have one. Max |

I also enjoying kneeling in the dirt and doing a bit of gardening (getting ready to put in potatoes tomorrow). |
