Post Boris Bazurov's "Autohtonic"
Just listened for the first time through Boris Bazurov's new CD, Autohtonica.

The music is densely layered, with lots of triggered sounds, and seemingly inscrutible, but as you focus your ears you hear familiar fusion and funk grooves, bluesy vocals, and guitar riffs amid the Siberian folk chants, stacked synth chords and burbling rapid-flowing bass parts. Mostly, I just find myself smiling at his endless inventiveness and joyous crooning.

All done live with some well-planned programming of sounds on dual MIDI'd Stick and the inscrutible russian gusli.
