Post Crimson Projekct
On the topic of inspiration. I just got back from the Dream Theater and Crimson Projekct in Minneapolis. If you get a chance to see these guys, don't pass it up. I would have been happy just to see the Crimson set. Very powerful. It was extra special to experience it with my 15 yr old son.

Quite the age range at that concert. Always fun to see that.

hah! going to see them next weekend in Austin.
Who exactly is in Crimson Projectk?
The website seems to imply it's a floating cast of characters from the 15+ iterations of Crimson over the years - who did you see?

I've seen the Stickmen/Crimson Projekct a month ago during their European tour. Very inspiring, indeed. Actually, I liked Stickmen set from the 2011 tour more, but the Double Trio part of the show was amazing and fun.

I wish we also had a CP+DT tour somewhere in Europe :) Though I'm not sure if I'd go to watch DT again without Portnoy.

I'll be at the Austin show next week. I've seen Stickmen in Sao Paulo last year and they were great!

A friend saw them in Chicago last weekend. Tony Levin, Adrian Belew, Julie Slick, Pat Mastelotto, some other guy with a touch guitar, and another drummer.

Hi, randy. No, we never did but I'll be in College Station, Tx next week and will have a free time to go to Austin for the concert. I will be in row J.

And thanx for your comments about Ivory Gates. We shoot a concert 20 days ago for a future DVD where I use only my NS and my Grand...

The other guy is Markus Reuter. He picked up a lot of the Fripp parts on his Touch Guitars U8.

I think my ears have finally stopped ringing. :) Big speakers in a small venue in Minneapolis.

I'll agree with DaveJ

I saw them last year in LA area
WAY LOUD
parts were great one of my issues was Adrian using Vocal Loops
Markus definitely nailed the fripp parts ( it was very cool see them played with 2 hands )
Took 3 days for my hearing to get back to normal

Tom
