Just finished watching the doco on the making of "Wish You Were Here". Recommend it highly to Floyd/Music fans, fascinating stuff about an iconic album.

As an aside the DVD , "Remember that night " by Dave Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall still chills me as he launches into some of those solos on the Strat. A great compendium of vintage floyd and his recent "On an Island" album.

David Gilmour is one of the most soulful, creative guitar players ever.
Pink Floyd was one of the first bands I ever listened to, 30+ years ago, and I still love listening to their stuff to this day.
In fact, was listening to "Dogs" off of Animals in my car this afternoon.
Absolutely great stuff!!

I'm not into buying special editions, box sets, etc. The only exception are the Immersion Editions of WYWH, DSOTM and The Wall, and they were worth every cent. Too bad there wasn't a surround-sound mix of The Wall, but man listening to DSOTM in surround is the best way to appreciate all the nuances, details, the greatness of that album.
