Post Stick memorabilia
Years ago I was working with a guy that would travel to go to NAMM shows (National Association of Music Merchants.) He brought me back this autograph from Tony Levin.

He asked Tony to make it out to me. Tony signed it and handed it back. My coworker mentioned that I played The Stick. Tony asked for paper back and added the part "Good luck with The Stick". I'm not really into autographs, but that made this one special for me.

Nice! That's the definition of a "keeper."

Cool. I never pursued the autograph thing and one day asked myself why not? I have Sticks signed by Les Paul, George Benson, Alan Holdsworth and Pat Martino. Forgot to ask Metheny. Next time

Post Re: Stick memorabilia
Years ago, I was playing bass in a band called Johnny .07 in Erie, Pa. I was much thinner and had long reddish hair. During a break, a couple from the audience approached me to ask if I was Danny Partridge. I jokingly said yes and they asked for an autograph. So I signed "to so-and-so(cant remember the names), great to meet you, love and laughs, Danny Partridge". I'm not even sure he's a real person, I thought he was just a made up character in a 70's tv show.

I recently got an autograph on a hat from some guy named Steve Adelson. I believe he plays the Stick as well. Like Steve, I never used to ask for autographs. I thought to myself, these are just regular people like you and me, why bother them to sign their name. But I am glad that I asked about the hat, and very thankful that he signed it. Ahhh! My very first autograph.

Mike
