Here's a great stick-specific site to get you going on your theory quest: http://www.scroom.com/mus_lessons/tot.1.htmlMarty

I imagine Steve Adelsson's Stickology (with DVD lessons) would do well for you.

Tons of music-related courses at Coursea starting this month: https://www.coursera.org/courses?orderb ... cats=music. I highly recommend the Jazz Improvisation class taught by Gary Burton.

There's also a music theory app now available from MusicTheory.net: http://www.musictheory.net/products/lessons

There seems to be also a training app: http://www.musictheory.net/products/tenutoMight be good, since the stringed instrument tunings are customizable. I think it's a mobile version of the online exercises. Anybody have any experience with it? For $4 it isn't a big loss to try out though.
