Miles Dewey Davis III
How come someone you've never met, mean so much and live in your heart through his music.....?

Oh shit..!
I haven't actually heard this whole album. It's like someone supersized the Star People cd.
Would make a great Stick cover or jam.

It's very good, one of his best of that period, IMHO.

Back in the days when i discovered miles Davis, i was amazed by a bass player with a 4 strings piccolo instrument, Foley. Remember?

Re: Miles Dewey Davis III
I LOVE the music of Miles Davis. Fortunately for me, I'm omnivorous enough to dig all his "periods". And that sound, the sound of his trumpet... the sound he lost and fought to get back: it is THE sound to me. Having read his autobiography and seen several interviews, I'm not sure I would have like to get social with the man, even though he was no doubt a very interesting person. I actually crossed paths with him, before I knew who Miles was: I was on the same plane from Rome to Cagliari, and he didn't go unnoticed! He looked like an African-American Montgomery Burns, with the most outrageous clothes ever worn by man. He emanated a foul mood from ten feet away, despite the gorgeous companion he had by his side. Not much of a claim to fame, but I can say without fear of rebuttal that for a (very) short while I was on the road with Miles

Re: Miles Dewey Davis III
I almost hate to post this because there are a lot of Miles fans, but according to his ex wife, he inflicted violence upon her. That for me is a show stopper if it is in fact, true. Even his mates say he disrespected women. Great musician, perhaps a less than stellar character though. Imho.
