Really cool. Funny how he very deliberately avoided any use of the word "Stick". Big can o'worms there?
Loved his first "rewards" slide - priceless.

It looks like possibly a tc flashback and ehx microsynth into a Phil Jones suitcase. The ehx microsyth is an amazing pedal.

Wow! You really know your gear! I checked out the micro synth last night and it's really pretty cool. Thanks for the tip! We should set you up with your own program called "Gearspotting". :)

Ha. I only knew because I looked into it earlier and found it on Trey's Blog. It lead me to buy a microsynth about a month ago.

Very different take on the instrument…. It was not until I tune both sides of the stick in 5th's, that it made sense to me.

I was considering toying with mirrored 5ths. Do you know the specific tuning Trey found worked best?

Post Re: Trey Gunn speaks on "Original Voice"
trey uses 5th's on both sides…. to my knowledge that is the only tuning he uses… Robert Fripp tuning. he chose this as to avoid the "blues guitar" stuff, so that he did not fall back on familiar patterns, as someone on this thread already pointed out.

What ever happened in the past is in the past, and better to just leave it there in regards to the Warr/Chapman thing. unless one knows exactly what went on, it is mere speculation and is not relevant at all. 8-)
