Post Bucky's Bach
Hi, all.

Here's Bucky Muttel playing the famous Bach cello prelude on an SG12 with his left hand. I played this piece with two hands. It's cool this way, too.

Um, just for the record. That is Bucky Muttel, not me. He is an American living in London who busks in the tubes for a living. He's known as Bucky the Busker. There are a few videos of him on YT and even an interview somewhere.

Sorry to confuse! 8-)

In most Bucky videos you can see him wearing a white card. What is that? Do London authorities award "Busking permissions" for musicians? Is that what it is? Or is it just his tube ticket....

It'll be his licence- Bucky told me about his audition to be a busker! If you want to busk you have to apply, then phone at a certain time each week to get busking rights for time slots throughout the week at prime locations.

That's a really cool take on that piece. Thanks for posting - now where's YOUR version, Eric?

Heh, I was afraid someone would ask. I did my arrangement on my 12-string bamboo grand with MR tuning. I played it in front of people just once at the 2009 Interlochen Workshop and it was not recorded. I then switched to an SG12 with mirrored 4ths and I've never made a new arrangement for my new Stick. The bamboo grand is now in the care of another member of this esteemed forum and is quite happy it's being played again.

Excuses, excuses! (Yeah, I know. But, I'm working on other cool stuff now, I promise!)
