Help yourself to a glass of Absinthe and check this out....it's so great to see cello in this context. Both these guys are so accomplished...

Post Re: Made in France
I've seen this video for the first time maybe 7 or 8 monts ago and the reason is quite simple...I play cello and I go to a french forum where the cello is the main point...like here the Stick.

This song is very well known in France...it's a classic in fact. We can see that both of these musicians are mastering their own instrument. It's tough for me to comment more for the accordeon but I can tell you that the cellist is amazing. To get a tone like his is not only a question of the quality of his instrument. It's also many years of hard working on his cello. In last September, a friend of mine (cellist living in Belgium) was here in Montréal and he played on my cello. Wow...HE is a pro while I'm still a beginner (after 4 years of practicing). He had a so nice tone on MY cello while I have a "normal" tone when I play the same instrument. LOL...You can hear the difference right away between HIS tone and mine. And when I hear a tone like this guy on this video, I know right away that this guy worked like crazy to get this.

...I'm not surprised at all...
...this is what a lot of people not are ready to learn, even after spending thousands of dollars for the best gear ever...

...it's always the person who makes the sound...

And I forgot to say that the bow is a large part of this work to do. I separate this work you have to accomplish on the cello and the other one on the bow. This bow can be magic...like it can be a proof that you're not using it the right way...lol.

Wow, how cool is it that you play cello? What a great instrument! Cello is one of my dream instruments in an ensemble…that and marimba!
