Thanks for sharing this, Per. Another superb arrangment from Bob, I never tire of his playing - he makes it look so effortless!

Love how he's using the open strings with the capo on the bass strings. Such a great player!

Some of the bass chord strum stuff just sounds amazing around 2:00, like a semi rotary effect.

What can you say about that.. so open and easy with so much music happening at the same time.

Thank you Master.

Such a great tune for solo Stick. Thanks to Bob for this excellent performance, and to Per for pointing to it.

"Across the Universe" used to be a regular solo tune for me for several years, when I played a Grand Stick in the Matched Reciprocal tuning. My arrangement relied heavily on the high bass strings, to provide variety in the accompaniment. Since I switched to the Classic with a high bass 4th, I hadn't re-arranged it to take the different chord geometry into account, so I don't think I've played it for 6 or 7 years now.

Until last night that is.... 8-)

...and here it comes now! Great to hear two versions; yours a little more playful than Bob's "classy" take on it. Nice sound you're getting there playing with the panned delay effect!

Every time I hear Bob Culbertson playing his stick I can hear a man in love with this instrument.
