Post Frank Jolliffe
Today marks two years since my BFF passed. Frank and I met when he was 15 and his influence, both musically and personally, continues within me to this day. I know he's at peace and I hope he's not resting, he's joined quite a few of his heroes and I just know they're jammin' away !!!!!

Yeah, he was an original. Great teacher and player, my first real window into the instrument.

Tap on Frank.

Post Re: Frank Jolliffe
I still clearly remember the first time I met Frank, and heard him play. It was at a party at a friend's house. I thought I heard something like a jazz duo coming from the next room, and wandered in to find only Frank playing. He was a very nice guy, and a killer musician. Last weekend I was listening to Frank's tune 'Blues Day' and wondered how many other folks have taken a stab at that tune. It might be neat to hear some other folks banging that one out, with their own flavor added to the mix.

Dale LaDouceur does a great version of that. What a crazy coincidence it was having learned that we had both studied under him on opposite sides of the continent, her in Connecticut and me in Pomona. What a cat....
