What in the world is that little yellow thing that dude is holding and tapping? Is that an actual instrument or a prop? (I can't imagine there's any level of volume on that)

Nima uses an ACTV-2, and double MIDI (though I don't know whether it's a VG99 or a true synth sounds)... the melody sound on this is definitely a MIDI sound..
