Victor!
Hi, everyone. Victor Wooten is coming to my town and I'm going to try to take my daughter who wants to play bass. Does anyone know what this tour is like? -Eric

Re: Victor!
He can backflip while playing the gnarliest bass solo you have ever seen.
I witnessed this at the Playboy Jazz Festival in 1991. There are few like him.

Re: Victor!
I saw him in Oslo: one of the best shows I've ever seen! Great band, with his brothers on keyboard and guitar, great drummer and a really good vocalist. Victor had a couple of solo moments, but for the most part he just grooved on bass. Let me rephrase that: he GROOVED on bass! Great, great bass player, not just flash and circus, the guy can really play. The show started with the characteristic cold Norwegian audience sitting at tables and ended (after 2 and 1/2 hours!) with everybody dancing under the stage. On top of it all, he seemed like a really humble and sweet guy and spent a lot of time with fans after the show.
Go, I promise you and your daughter will love it!

Re: Victor!
I'm a big fan of Victor too, but how it's "stick related"?

Re: Victor!
He's gonna be in the twin cities next week. I must go. I've been looking for an excuse to get to the big cities anyway!

Somme guys play bass parts on MAC. But if you make a topic like that there (especially among the pianists or MAC users) they will crucify you at once (or KILL U WITH FIRE).
