Post Stick players who never played the Stick
Jimmy Smith! He would hold down lines in the bass pedals while carving out grooves, comping and soloing with his hands. For faster lines, he would switch to the left hand - very versatile. What an amazing Stick player he would have been!

Who else out there who was never a Stick player would have been an amazing Stick player?

Jon Brion would probably come up with some amazing music on the stick.

Agreed. Caught him back in the day pretty regularly at Largo. insane. He, and his bassist, would play tunes on demand - I've never seen anything like it. Yeah, I expect he'd have all kinds of crazy uncrossed stuff going on.

Maybe a more obvious choice, but Stanley Jordan. Why are you using two guitars, man? Get a Stick!

Loreena McKennitt would probably do a fab job on a Stick.

Irbit,

Loreena is my wife's favorite performer of all time. She's great, but decidedly incompatible with driving on long trips, which is when she likes to listen to her... puts me into a sleepy trance-like state every time. Not good.

Hook up a fuzz pedal to your car stereo and you might enjoy her music more.
