Post Re: The Chronicles of a Stickist
It's too bad you didn't keep the Railboard until your new Stick arrived. I assume the decision was a financial one. Still, new Stick day is just around the corner and going without will make it feel that much sweater when it arrives.

Grand Bamboo #6524 will ship Monday! Now to wait a week for the big brown truck to move it from the left coast to the right coast.

Congratulations, Monday definitely will be a special day! ;)

The Bamboo Bomber arrived today safe and sound. Absolutely beautiful. No sun today so will take pics as soon as I have some good natural light (hate the flash). Certainly worth the wait for craftsmanship of this quality. Plus you can just feel the love and care vibing off of this thing.

BTW, not to change the topic but when do you think about the Carvin amp you're using for Stick?

I think the Carvin is a perfect practice/studio/small gig amp. Plenty of power, lots of tone colors, easy and small to carry or keep in a small space. Will it ever be a tube Twin Reverb? No, but it's more versatile and has more features (like direct output to computer for recording). Besides, I'm not looking for the perfect Santana feedback effect with the Stick.

Oh, and for you 'youngsters' out there, the Bamboo Bomber was a Cessna T-50 aircraft that Sky King flew in the TV series. His copilot was his niece, Penny. So, I will be taking the controls and flying my Bamboo Bomber Stick.
