Sold the Railboard today to Aaron in AZ so now I'm stickless. Sent Cambria a deposit first week of October so hopeful I'll see the new beasty by end of year. I just had a third dandy little tune worked out, too. Oh well, I'll just keep replaying them in my head until I can tap them out on the new Boo (as in Bamboo).

I have about 25 hours now into tapping and things are coming a bit quicker although everything is at funeral durge speed, so I just adjust my playing style to make it sound like my tunes are supposed to be slow and 'empathic'.

Amazing how I sit down to get in a few minutes then realize my butt's asleep and my left hand is cramping because two hours have passed by. Much better than Alzheimer's for loosing track...

So, stay tuned (pun intended) for (un)Boxing Day (it's a Canada/UK thing) when I will send along new pics and continue the journey down the road out in the Sticks.

Three months since I sent my deposit and not a peep from the left coast folks. :(

Tic toc, tic, toc...

Call them. I get off the phone as quickly as I can, considering my gift of gab, so that Cambria (or Yuta, when I have the privilege) can deal with issues such as yours.

Five months now since Confirmation (6 since ordering)

I'm gonna go "Full Hitler" if I don't hear something soon (loved that BTW)

Then again, the time it takes tells me I will get one of the finest to ever leave Emmett's workbench

So, I just keep looking in the mirror every morning and saying "Patience, Grasshopper..."

If you haven't called lately, I would. Something's going on; things seem to have been really, REALLY slow there at S.E.; my wife's new Stick has been sitting in limbo waiting for Emmett to do final set-up on it since February 16.

OK broke down and called SE just now.

Cambria sounded 'stressed'...

After 5 minutes on the phone searching she couldn't find my 'file'

Said she'd dig around and try to find my order and send me an email

My confidence level is now in fibrulation and close to flatlining bebeep bebup beblah

Doctor, Doctor Give Me The News, I got a - Bad Case of 'No Stick Blues'

Skyking, with your friendly good humor, you're garnering the sympathy of all who hear your plight. I'd better rush to the rescue if I can. Your dark bamboo Grand Stick #6524 with black pearl linear markers and PASV-4 is "in the works" and will be ready inside of three weeks.

Meanwhile we had a cancellation. It's a maple grand with the same features and we'd re-string and set it up to your 6+6 Classic tuning in medium gauges. Maple is lighter in color tone than dark bamboo, also a bit heavier like rosewood or wenge.

It's looking good and ready to go in case you're interested.

I paid my deposit seven months after ordering my Railboard, and I have not heard more in the two and half weeks since.

EDIT: It is good to see Emmett's reply; I knew I should have refreshed the page before I posted.

Awesome! Thanks for the Maple offer and I am partial to Maple (I make syrup from mine here) but I just did a virtual cheek rub and 'marked' 6524 as MINE so I can patiently wait a little longer.

The time it takes to finish is but miniscule to the time it will be played by myself and those who will be lucky enough to inherit it after me. Plus I am fascinated by Bamboo as a wood for it's strength, weight, and tonal qualities.

Good thing I'm a cat person and visualized cheek rubbing my stick to mark it. Now, if I was a dog person, I guess I'd be visualizing...oh never mind :?

Well, after 6 months it lools like Emmett and the gang have decided to 'stick it to me' on my order.

So.....

(no, not that kind of 'stick it to me' you silly - what were you thinking!) ;)

Grand Bamboo #6524 will ship Monday! Now to wait a week for the big brown truck to move it from the left coast to the right coast.

Pics to follow...
