As you might now, I'm an avid fan of many of John Zorn's works, including his late 80-s hardcore experiments with Naked City, chamber jazz and contemporary classic works, klezmerish Masada series, and so on...

Now, something new from Zorn - a rock album 'Simulacrum', performed by the trio Medeski (organ)-Grohowski (drums)-Hollenberg (guitar). This thing really sounds like typical 'classic prog', though slightly too heavy guitar timbre alludes to the 90s neoprog and progmetal scene. And, unlike many Zorn's releases, this album is pretty much easy listening stuff :)
