So with an extended six weeks off work, I last sat at my Detroit area home with Bob and Tom when Bob flew in to play the Ann Arbor Art Fair and Tom flew in to visit the Motown Museum and continue north to Interlochen. Today I am home again for the first time since then and it feels like an eternity ago that I left. So during that time, I spent two weeks at Interlochen visiting, learning, and organizing as well as sitting in awe of some of the finest Stick players and fingerstyle guitarists on the planet. I spent an additional week preparing for those workshops, a week cleaning up after the storm from hell, and lastly ... actually had a little downtime for myself. Now back at home, I can continue to pour through photos and videos. Hopefully we'll be posting a handful of videos over the coming weeks. Plus I'll likely be doing a short write-up from the guitar workshop. At some point (next Monday) I need to consider returning to work as well. Thanks again to everybody who came up to Interlochen and especially to the teachers of both instruments who continue to inspire. |
