"Lost Friends" - Grand Stick
A new original tune I wrote about 3-4 months back.
While playing this one, I was thinking about one of the guitar workshops I attended taught by Billy McLaughlin. Billy was the only person I ever ran across who devoted some teaching time just talking about playing reverb. He talked about choosing your levels carefully, not overloading deep reverb with a lot of notes, and when you do turn it up ... let it breath.
I have to say, I hear overuse of reverb pretty much all the time. Even with a real high quality reverb, you need to give it some space so it can be heard. Otherwise it can jumble your sound and detract from what you're doing.
