Yeah, Rodrigo could plug into a week old turkey sandwich and it would still end up sounding like a symphony.
But seriously, I have seen a lot of people ask about reliable, small and portable amps. Out here in the US, Sweetwater has them for about $500. LIKE! Thanks for sharing Rod.

Re: Best small amp for the stick
I bought a Fender Rumble 100 to run my Railboard through directly, all knobs set to 12:00 I get a lovely, clear tone. I think it would work well in a number of small settings. I recall the story of Les Paul trying to achieve the sound of the string at it's purest with the "Log". The amp also weighs only 22lb. I've been quite happy with it. It also sounds good with a bass guitar.
I've had good results with the new Boss Cube Street EX. I run the melody side through the guitar input where I can use the built-in effects, and the bass side through the mic/instrument input.
That did not go well. It seems like Mackie has stopped making them so the store can´t deliver...... They suggested the Mackie Thump Go instead. Twice the weight and much bigger. But similar when it comes to everything else. I do have a AER Compact Mobile II. Much shorter battery life. 3 - 4 hours and that is enough for me but it weighs 16 kilos. Very (!!) well built. Only 60 W but LOUD for being 60 W. Sounds great. The Thump Go is too close to what I already have so...... Will stick with the AER amp for awhile longer.....
