Space Punk Prog from Sproingg
Hi all,
recently I have compiled some recordings from rehearsals of our band into a kind of demo. The band is called "Sproingg", and we are a trio of drums, guitar and Stick (I also occasionally play electric violin). We call our music "Space Punk Prog". There's a shorter version for the impatient, and a longer one for those who would like to hear a bit more. Here's the link: I hope you like it and I'm looking forward to reading what you think of it! The music was recorded live during rehearsal with a Zoom H1.
All the best, Johannes

Thanks for posting, Johannes.
I particularly liked the bit in 7/8 near the end. Looking forward to a more formal recording/videos of your band.

Re: Space Punk Prog from Sproingg
In order of listening: Homunculous Funkulous was a close second for best song title. Sugarwax Nailface had a keyboard-like sound on the rhythm and was my vote for best title of several good ones. Then, Alligator Peak was my favorite, until I hit Krummfutter, which was the best "jam" of the series to me.
Overall, I think I liked each successive song better than the ones before it, or maybe it just started growing on me. Last song with more keyboard-ish (B3 or organ) hits.
What'd I learn? You guys rock! Thanks for sharing!

At the moment, it's more important to get some gigs, we need to play live. And we need to decide if we should add a fourth instrument or a vocalist or remain a three-piece. All the best, Johannes

All the best, Johannes Naming stuff is hard, too! I love a good instrumental/song title. And thanks for how you got that sound! Krummfutter sounded very Frank Zappa-ish to me, which was a good thing! That was my favorite of the pieces. Cheers!
