Post Re: Song in a Day Challenge
I can only thank my wife for helping me develop my singing when she was still my girlfriend. Growing up, my family told me "I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket" and that singing was my brother's skill.

I think the song in a day challenge should not have singing or particular arrangement requirements. We each bring different extra-Stick-ular skills to the picture. For some of us it is singing, for others it is multi-tracking, looping, super-FX-ing, and so forth. I think it is important to let those skills shine.

Back to what Scott said, video is useful for learning chops. Adding to the learning aspect, I would request that people using the other skills please make it clear how they are being used. I would love to learn more about using the electronics to my benefit by watching you guys apply it.

@Mike Kemp: I am glad to hear you are feeling mostly whole. My family is no stranger to hospitals and surgeries, so I feel your pain.

Thanks sagehalo :) !

My last question about this before I get going on this: Would it be better to post entries here in sagehalo's thread to keep them easy to find(though it may end up making the thread colossal), or would each song be better off under its own new thread?

Mike

Make you own threads! You can call it Song O The Day Challenge: Insert Whatver After the Colon, or whatever, but let's talk lots about each person's awesome (hopefully) achievements! And maybe if multiple people all want to do their version of that song, they can certainly post in the "Piano Man" song of the day thread. (I know Kevin C among many Stickists have a Piano Man version!)

But kudos all around for the idea and the group interest! Let's rock it out!

Good question. I'm thinking that it could work either way, but perhaps it would be best if there were an individual thread for each one? Thread title could be something like

>>>SONG IN A DAY - All Of Me<<<<

Lol I dunno. Whatever works!
