Post Music as a mean of communication

It is my firmest belief that music serves always as a mean of communication: be it to provoke emotions, share experiences, start a dialogue with other musicians, tell a story, get in touch with one's inner self and creativity, or even just to let the ego reach out to the world - there is always a musician trying to comunicate with someone or something.
There is music for all tastes as there is music to fulfill every role desired by man in this "sharing experience": some make us dance, others make us think, feel happy or sad, some provoke anger while many others bring out the loving side in every human. And there is music that sets your mind free and let it roam wherever it wants to go: memories, dreams, wishes, people, places. worries, sleep ;)

For this video I chose a song I played since my first gig with the stick and that gets that kind of response from the audience: people just go into their minds for a few minutes, with a smile on their faces. That's why I chose to make this clip a bit different, not too focused on my playing (I'm actually doing very little on the instrument, almost too simple. I just wanted to let the song speak for itself), instead I wanted the images to inspire also that feeling of "letting go and fly away".

So, as I'm about to celebrate one year with the Chapman Stick (It arrived on June the 5th) I just kind of wanted to dedicate this one to Emmet: the stick is more than just free hands, ultimately it's a tool to free our minds.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and see the video!
Cheers to all :)
Rodrigo

Excellent piece, Rodrigo! Very contemplative and with an upbeat tone and mood that makes it impossible not to have a positive feeling. Not extremely complicated, but tastefully elegant and flowing. I enjoyed the video fadein and fadeout techniques as well in this, that cut between the green rolling hills and you and your playing. Just a good production all around! Great to see you back here and posting such excellent music. Congratulations on your upcoming first year of awesomeness and for sharing! --Steve

Yeah. Amazingly pure tone, right?

With notes as pure as the sentiment. Good vibes from you and to you, Rodrigo.
