CHAOS BOX with "Chromatic Jack" (FAMV)
Scott Kerr (Jayesskerr) and I did a little collaboration together called "Chromatic Jack," which this forum seemed to like.
I can't stop listening to it, frankly and embarrassingly. I'm not gonna lie--I listen to it on the way to work in my car almost every day. It's truly the expression of what I've been wanting to do in music for a long time, and I had an instant man-crush on Scott (don't tell the wives!) as soon as I first heard the rough tracks of his guitar over my Railboard, piano and drums. He's a consummate professional recording guitar master for hire (which cost me the low, low price of simply being a friend! and that's an extra bonus too!) and it was only a Saturday morning of his time, but something I'll treasure (and pimp) for a long time. Hopefully more to come on that front later!
But in the meantime, I've been trying to put together a fractal video that would do justice to Scott's virtuosic, shredding, harmonized arpeggios, with something equally visually stunning.
Here's my new Mandelbulber OpenCl v 1.21 video, "CHAOS BOX" which is a face-melting mandelbox with Julias and powers and limits and trap lights. It's also with original music "Chromatic Jack." I play the Chapman Stick Railboard as bass, and then piano, and the drums, and Scott Kerr plays all the guitars. We've cleverly named our little duo collab project/group as SINKERR (both our last names together).
The fractal is a simple Mandelbox heavily using "limits," to slice and dice up the Mandelbox and make it look like it is eroding or melting and also the reverse, as it builds up layer by layer like a sugar crystal, and I'm also morphing things almost too quickly here--the Youtube video quality just can't keep up with how quickly features are changing, even at 30 FPS (frames per second). You can actually download all 3.5 GBs of the original video if you so choose at the Vimeo site (it's the only way to really see the rapidly changing detail.) Warning if you have epilepsy or issues--there's a lot of flashing color sweeps as well, to be as frenetic and kinetic as possible with the music.
Video is my standard 1920 X 1080, 30 FPS, H264 codec, built from around 7200 JPEGs, using Mandelbulber OpenCL v 1.21, GPU-rendered on 2 MSI GeForce 980s, at about 30 seconds a frame and taking about 2 days.

Re: CHAOS BOX with "Chromatic Jack" (FAMV)
I wanted to post the MIDI track of the piano, which is where this song started, on the living room electric piano with a 2-track MIDI recorder. Short of using a Google Drive link to the MIDI file, how would I post a MIDI file for people to download? The website doesn't seem to allow .mid files as attachments.
So, in the meantime, here's a direct link to the MIDI file for the piano. You should import the tempo map if you want the intro to play correctly; otherwise, the rest after the intro is all 120 BPM.
You're welcome to do with it what you wouldst. (Er, I get half after the first hundred thousand dollars you make on it, unless it's paid in Canadian dollars, in which case I'll take bacon or beer as well!)
