Hi everyone, here's a little something filmed during the sound check last Saturday. The concert was in a 17th century church that holds a music festival during Easter and, although the video doesn't capture it, the natural reverb was amazing! What it does capture is the fact that I haven't played Bach for a while now Next weeks should be fun too: Poland starting on Thursday, then performing in an amazing theater in Tunisia solo with the Stick, then Canada (Rob and Kev, hope I get to see you there ), and finally solo again, staring the stick at the Portuguese Author's Association (our version of ASCAP) on the celebration of the international composer's day... Lots of stress, lots of fun. Still learning something new everyday! Thank you Emmet: the stick rocks! Here's how the church looked with the proper lights Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk |

Really nice, Rodrigo Sometimes in a big space like that we are compelled to do "less" just to be heard, though as you said the video doesn't really sound the way things sounded in the room. I'm just reminded that I once payed in a church in Washington, DC that was very live, and found I had to play everything slower, and with less treble to reduce the transients and retain clarity. The second set of the concert was "Stick Figures" from beginning to end... Safe travels, Greg |

Thanks everyone @Greg: It's one of the best parts of playing in different rooms isn't it? When one get's pass the not being accustomed to the new sound, we then start to play according to the room's acoustic, thus discovering new dimensions for whatever music we're doing... Music truly is a living thing Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk |

Music truly is a living thing Great video and superb playing Rodrigo. You're right, getting out of the comfort zone is way cool. Using the space as an extra musician and listening to the venue is also a good way to evacuate any stress. |

Usually focusing on the other musicians is a good way too keep your ego away from the music, but as I've come to discover, going solo With the stick, focusing on the acoustic of the room does the same thing Thanks Olivier!
