I love, love love this tune. I have been wanting to use it as a sort of practice rundown for a while, but I didn't want it to suck too bad... :D It just sucks, but I thought I'd share it, that way y'all have a good reference as to what the bottom of the barrel looks and sounds like! There are moments that I think are pretty cool, took a bit of working out and some arranging to make work, but it's worth it, and a lot of fun to play... (I thought y'all might get a kick out of it so I shared it...)

Also, I got an interesting noise by stepping on my damn patch chord, broke my damn input jack when I did it, too. So that particular sound, I left in as my "solo". I don't recommend doing that hahaha :D I can't believe I could keep on playing (Fixing now as I type this :D )

Rush rules, and enjoy, fellas... I'll maybe take a swing at Alex's solo a little down the road. I got a bit of it, but I kind of ran out of notes, might need to rearrange Alex's awesome solo a bit to suit the range of the Stick maybe, I dunno...

I know this song because Classic Rock Radio thinks it's the only song Rush ever recorded. God, I hate this song. I got in trouble a few years back here because some thin-skinned Stickest took offense to my hating FREEBIRD so don't u Rush-freaks chastise me. But good work, Scott, the Geddy line sounds good.

Hey, if we all liked the same thing and did everything the same way it would be a pretty boring world, wouldn't it? Funny! :D

hahaha Thanks for listening.

And I gotta say, I like "Freebird" almost as much as I like "mony mony" (hate 'em both, avoid them like the plague...)

As far as Rush goes, I really, really liked the newest one (Clockwork Angels) and Geddy is easily one of my favourite bass players, not to mention vocalists/keyboardists. I love every aspect of Rush, really great band...

Damn! I was all ready for the solo! Rocking it out like a rocky-rock rock thing that rocks! Most of that song worked really well and just got better and better until you left me hanging there at the end.

I love Rush, and I love this song. Moving Pictures was my very first introduction into Rush and will also hold the fondest spot in my heart. It's not even my favorite album of theirs--just the first.

And Freebird sucks.

Way to go, Scotty Lee!

if you haven't seen it you gotta watch the Rush documentary - it is absolutely amazing! And, just like with their albums...I loved the documentary right up to the point where they started talking about Power Windows and all the albums after that!
