:D The rampage continues... More musical reign of terror

Seriously, though it's a fun tune I thought I'd slam it together for y'all. Y'know, 'cause we're all so happy! And together.... I even put a solo in, but the high up notes are kind of a bit tricky to get happening. My damn RH feels like it's in a wristlock or something up there by the pointy notes.... I might have to invest in a Tag interface yet...

Hey, on another note if y'all can record and have some riffs, you should consider participating in the great 2017 Online Stick Collaboration - Easy-peasy, here's some more info...

I loved it, Scott! And one of your longer covers as well. Good, rocking solo and nice, tasty bass with a clear and steady melody. Sweet!

Glad you liked it! Thanks for listening, man. It was a lot of fun to put together! More to come...

The luxury is fast approaching. Stylized bass and melody voices together. Bass 4ths tuning serving you well. Blazing lead guitar lines to follow.

Loved it. My band covers that tune! You've come so far in the last year. How do you do it?

Staying happy. Gotta play happy tunes! I bet you would slay this one, Rob! It was pretty easy, and it's a lot of fun!

Thanks for checking it out. I have some hurdles to overcome before I can do some of that "next level" stuff, but it's coming. Blazing "lead Stick" lines to follow, complete with a refusal to compromise the bottom end. Coming soon.

Good question. I still suck, but I am getting better and making steady progress I believe. I play a lot!
The "real" improvement came once I addressed the issue that I was actually having troubles with. Simply put, it was "dealing simultaneously with two separate things". Once I realized that it was my ability to multitask that was the heart of the problem, I devised a bunch of strategies to deal with that. Sightreading is the best way (for me) to deal with the issue in a focused manner. It started off pretty slow, but I noticed immediate gains. There is a lot more to it than simply reading down "Twinkle, Twinkle", but that's a major component. I started out with a bit of an advantage, 'cause I play other instruments well, and am a music school grad with a ton of performance and recording experience. Anyways, the repertoire composition and improv are side effects of this...

It's allowed me to take what I can already do on a guitar or a bass and leverage it in a practical manner. And in very, very reasonable timeframes. More practice time equals more improvement, which was not the case previously. I started out by running myself into a wall. Very frustrating. I'm past it, though.

I've been through the Stick Book, GH Songbook and Stickology pretty completely since, but it's the Free Hands book that seems to keep yielding new information, even on topics I thought I'd covered pretty completely.

I need to get on here more often.....a great cover for one of the first songs I remember from my days as a toddler I the 70's. Nice! I listened to your other tunes on here, as well, and you have come very far - bravo! I've been slammed the last two years, but I want to get back and practice again.

Rhah! F.Z. used to do this "just like a big rock show" back when Flo&Eddie were in the Mothers. F&E couldn't read music, but had "good ears"-Frank taught them hard stuff by playing it for them...of course not that tune! And on The Mothers of Invention "Freak Out!", there's a quote, "You can be as big as the Turtles" ...and they wind up in the band! HAHAHA. Great tune Great job Scott! I can't help but sing that tune when I hear it! The Turtles videos were pretty weird, too.
