It's a little rough, as I'm still working some kinks out of it but I thought it'd be fun to share. Also, it's just the intro for now - I'm still working out a few of the cool solo bits that Rob does and I'll maybe post those as I get it more together. Rob is an amazing musician, and his works really don't get enough attention in my opinion. I am supposed to be working on some Bach stuff, but I thought it could wait for a bit as I really love this tune. Still needs lots of work, but it's a lot of fun to play and it sounds really cool. Plus, It gets me working on some different left hand voicings for the accompaniment.
Off to a good start Scott! It’s a tough tune. I worked on it as well for a time but gave up. Those bass lines were very difficult to pull of cleanly. The 4ths tuning is very cool though isn’t it? I love the chords in the tune.....as a matter of fact, Robs record is still my favourite Stick album, and one I still listen to often.

Epic tune, indeed. Scott, you've made a great start on it. Rob's album is also one of my very favorite Stickist albums, and this is my favorite tune on it. Can't wait to see this when you're done with it!
Hey guys - thanks for checking it out! Yep, this is an awesome tune, and yep its like... extra epic! hahaha Even just that intro riff is just... so damn fun to play. Playing it makes me want to play it more!
Also agreed; Rob's album is my favourite Stick record. I just really like his tunes - they appeal to me, and plus we tune the same way which is most excellent!
So yeah, what a fun tune to play... Can't say it enough.

I looked again your video and I was really concentrated on your left hand because I'm really interested to buy Kevin's stick. It's quite amazing as it seems already in my mind how to move this LH. I mentally do some exercices and it looks natural to me. Even though I really like to play in 5th, this new tuning would be like a new instrument to me. After 8 years to play in 5th with my LH, I finally started to be comfortable with this...but I'd really like to learn the way you play with this mirrored 4th. Good job man...this song is beautiful...I agree with you, Rob Martino is a great stick player.

Cool! Haha thanks for checking it out a second time! Rob's whole album is really excellent, a collection of awesome melodies that Stick in your head... (pun intended) It's deceptive how complex Rob's stuff is, he makes it sound so effortless and nothing sounds forced. I will probably learn all of it, lifting his licks is pretty enjoyable in my opinion.
For me, there are a lot of advantages to having the bass in 4ths, once I committed to it it was an endeavour that bore fruit almost immediately. I don't know why the 5ths tuning gave me so much grief but making that change reduced my learning curve quite drastically. I haven't had a problem working out stuff intended for 5ths tuned Stick. Whatever gets you playing right?
Sounding good Scott. I m not brave enough to try and tackle that one
Oh hey Rob, it's not too bad (The intro part) The other parts are a bit tricky, but totally worth it - Even just this intro riff is so much fun to play! No end to the things I gotta practice...
Hi Scott, I wanted to express my thanks for the video and your kind words - it's fascinating to see somebody playing something so deeply ingrained in my brain and fingers. Different nuances come out and your own musical experience and personality become a part of it - very cool!
