Post Original composition "Muad´dib
Hi all, here´s an original song called Muad´dib (main character from the first book trilogy Dune), my wife wrote the lyrics in old arab and i did the music.
The song itself is quite simple, it´s just a four chord progression with a melody in between verses:

A-7/Fmaj7(Lyd)/D-79/B7b9

Then the second part it´s more or less the same melodic motive with the difference that i change the last chord:

E-7/Cma7(Lyd)/A-79 and Fmaj7#5, this last chord is not as resolutive as the one in the first part, i like the tension it creates and the release when goes back to E-7.
Hopefully this song i´ll record it one day with better sound.
I hope you guys like it
Sorry i still don´t know how to embed a video :-S

You were mostly there--just selected your YouTube link and hit the youtube2 tag.

And a wonderful song with a Dune theme! Your wife is a wonderful singer/writer and you were rocking it out yourself! What an awesome creation--thanks for sharing this, Tomas!

I'm sucked into a slowly swirling swoon. And those easterly chords, spanning Greece to Arabia. Beautiful music, a beautiful life.

Nice music and I like a lot when someone is explaining a bit the progression is playing on and demonstrate a bit his thoughts behind his concept...congratulations...personnally I'd like to hear and see more. I also like the voice of this woman with musical accents we are not used to ear here on Canada's side...a big plus one...

I love this. Sort of a middle-eastern jazz sound to it. More, please!
