Post "Counting Stars" - new from Greg
Finally, I post a cover song that was written in this century! This is a truly fun song to play on The Stick.

Pull off harmonies at ~1:30 are so rad, you make it look so easy. Sounds amazing Greg, such gnarly bass energy in the left hand!!!!

Oh wow, the original really stinks!
Sorry any One Republic fans, including you, Greg, if you are one.
I thought it was going to be something inspired by the planetary convergence.
Super!
Is that Emmett's gold Railboard?
I like the Free Hands on the music stand.

LOL, no worries, Marty! I have two teenage daughters, and I spent the past 15 years trying to find songs they liked that I could enjoy as well so that time in the car could be enjoyed by all. I don't know any of their other songs, but this one, to me, is well-crafted, with a catchy melody, and as a bonus it has some very challenging parts, like the melody riff at the end...

My favorite band my kids brought to my attention is the Lumineers. Great band.. I'll have to cover one of their tunes, I think...

I'm no officianado of 21st century pop but for some reason that reminded my of this - Mumford & Sons - Hopeless Wanderer. Very different in a lot of ways, but some similarities maybe (it's also from 2013, so maybe it's just the 'of an era' effect?). I wondered what your daughters (& you) would think of it?

That’s a good song. Our favorite of theirs is “I Will Wait”. Great band.
