Post Tycho - Awake (Cover)
This is what I've mostly been practicing the last 4-5months - my all time favourite song from Tycho - Awake.

It's a minimal arrangement with just the Stick and drums.

The 16th note delay is quite helpful for the bass part.

Nice...I like the tone of your instrument too.

Thanks Alain and WerkSpace!

It's great that somebody besides me likes what I do.

The sound took also quite a while to tweak. Couldn't quite get the bass sound of the original, but it's a different instrument with it's own unique character.

Very nice! You have a nice touch, it has a good feel to it. Is there any sheet music for it ?

Thanks Mike! I have some rough tabs that need some revision and editing before I can present them.

I'll try to do it over the weekend.

I saw you using the Line 6 Helix on stage?
Can you describe your gear and setup for us?

Yeah I'm using the Helix.
So in a sense the setup is simple if you can call Helix that.

Just the Stick straight into the returns of the Helix and out to PA on stage or into the soundcard inputs if at home.
I'm using the returns of Helix because there are no two dedicated inputs with identical sensitivity.

Inside the Helix I'm most of the time processing the Stick sides separately even if identically, that gives me clarity with distortion, so that the two sides won't modulate each other.

Sometimes though when I want the sound of a single guitar riff, I'll use mono distortion/amp drive. Otherwise it'll start to sound like Thin Lizzy.

When I'm recording at home I use Helix Native instead. Then the Helix floor acts just as a MIDI controller.

I was looking and listening again this morning your video. It's really good. I notices that you slower the beat at the end...even for the drums. I guess you had to work on this also. Well...it sounds great. Congrats.
