I found this one of Jim Lampi on YouTube yesterday. I generally marvel at the way the Stick is simply an extension in Jim's hands.

Jim is indeed very musical. It's the space and the pacing that makes it happen. Jim's the man.

I echo Steve, Jim is Da Man. singing and playing those grooves so effortlessly is like chewing gum and walking... on a tightrope across Niagra Falls! Jim taught at one of the Ann Arbor seminars and really is a nice guy and an intelligent player & teacher.

PS QUICK TIP: that groovy fretless sound is pedal bound (not like Steve's new Stick) and you can get it cheap on a Zoom 505 II Bass pedal or an old Slow Gear.

Interesting that Jim's solo perfromances have a similar vibe to this group's
presentation. Jim is one of the most musical Stick players I've heard
