I like all the interdependent rhythmic stuff as well. Looking forward to more.

I've quite a bunch of videos from him, and I find that the instruments that suit him the best are the rather high-pitched instruments : he did some very nice things on the Box Guitar and on this Alto IMO.
This guy is very talented. He deserves more recognition I think.

Re: Jan Laurenz got an Alto. I really like these videos, much more than some of the others he's posted. I think the higher range of the Alto is a perfect setting for him to really play on.

He has always been receptive and and full of praise when he comments on my stuff. Cool guy and a helluva musician.

Re: Jan Laurenz got an Alto. I just discovered this guy on YT last week and and swooped all his videos many times around. He plays great and the pieces I like the most are those he does on the BearTrax. Seems he changes the tuning between songs quite a bit on that instrument?

I find the mixture between finger-picking and tapping on the BearTrax very interesting, and also the use of a capo. I think Jan is very talented and has some very good pieces in all the instruments that he plays. He has an amazing right hand, fast, clean and very articulated.
