Ah ......Wonderful.
And I shall pick Michael's brain on his approach to improv/soloing at the Northeast Seminar,
Much will be learned...can't wait.

Yep. Thumbs up. Love the bass tone, and the lead tone. Is that Pat Mastelotto on this track? (One of the many "too loud" drummers you've worked with?) Just teasin'.

"Leviathan" at 1:16-2:05 has just a gorgeous lead tone ... that's what I hear when I think of the kind of lead tone I'd like to have. Thanks a bunch; you're going to make a thief of me.

 Re: New Track from Bernier
Ha, Thanks for the kind words. Allan Holdsworth mailed me a few of his old pedals with his presets still intact. I looked at his adjustments and it seemed that that silky sustain tone comes from not too much gain...just enough to sustain a bit and cutting the highs to zero, mids just above zero and just enough (+3) lows for some "growl" on the lower notes. The units he had didn't have an expression pedal so I modeled the "sound" on my Zoom. Then programmed a whole step pitch shift into the patch to "bend" notes since the stick is devoid of "whammy bar" capabilities. Steal away! It's fun.

 Re: New Track from Bernier
Wow...of course I heard Holdsworthian tone and immediately loved it...but to learn that it came from some of his old stuff...way cool. Thanks VERY much for the info.
