Listening now and there's nothing Proto about it at least up to the 50% mark where I'm at now. This sounds like a finished product to me. Why do you feel it's only Proto? This is clean enough for rock and roll baby.

Check out the prototype of "Leeches". A pretty hefty tapping piece, all Warr guitar, this ended up carved up into several chunks for the benefit of a new guitarist who had some trouble adapting.

I like it 8-) How do you get the synth-like bass tone (e.g around 3:00)?

Cheers,
Johannes

Thanks, man. The synth bass is a sound I created in my Boss GT8.

The Boss GT8: 90% crap, 10% pure gold. I hear the newer ones are fantastic.

3 more tunes posted on my soundcloud page. I think the stick players here will dig the tune "Lo!"

Heh.

I just found an old hard drive with some *very* old recordings of yours truly. I singled one out, and put it up on my soundcloud page if anyone is interested. I played a 10-string white oak Stick, which I had tuned to baritone melody.

I chose this one because I recorded it the night my first daughter was born. I came home from the hospital, grabbed my frame drum, a metal trash can, some beer bottles, finger cymbals, an acoustic guitar which was broken, an autoharp, glockenspiel, and a playschool see-and-say.

Sacraments were used. Fun was had. Really bad recording ensued, both straight into a cheap PC and with a cheap mic, quickly. Really warbly sounds, bad distortion, heh. But a great baritone melody sound in the middle section... around 1:30.

Recorded in November 2000. Dem were de days.
