I really like the intensity of this piece. I wish I could follow the train of it. It loses me in the transitions and finding the themes.

Kev - nice work. I really liked it.

To complete the thought - here is the Hockey Night in Canada "Don Cherry"...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Cherry

I've always loved Don Cherry's work, with and away from Ornette Coleman.

Cheers

John

Thanks, John!

Still trying to figure out the Don Cherry reference... I do like Ornette.

Listening now. Sweet. I liked that slow upward guitar bend early on and the bass drum coming in afterwards. You're getting there.

Tatsu, the string bend is Warr Guitar. The first solo is mine. Thanks for listening, I should be posting more very soon.

Thanks for telling me that was a Warr guitar. It's nice to finally know what the heck one sounds like. I'll have to listen to the first solo again.

Uploading some more tunes into my soundcloud page. These new songs are really not new at all, but were prototype pieces for my band. These were recorded straight to PC, and are much more a "tapping" thing than the rock feel into which they have transmuted... or will transmute, as the case may be.

Check out the prototype of "Leeches". A pretty hefty tapping piece, all Warr guitar, this ended up carved up into several chunks for the benefit of a new guitarist who had some trouble adapting.

Uploading more now, check back for updates. There's another piece called "Lo!", which is a melodic Warr melody thing we are integrating into our repertoire now. It's *very* different, and less dreamy, more befitting a rock outfit.

Recordings are pretty crappy, very digital sounding, meh. It was just a rough thing to present to prospective players. A few years later, I really like this stuff...

Thanks for all the views, I hope you'll check back.

Kev
