Another SG-12/AxeFx recording wrapped up!
I recorded this with my SG-12 amplified through the Fractal Audio AxeFx II. A digital SPDIF cable connected amp and computer and I recorded a stereo track of both fretboards plus reverb and harmoniser effect in the Fractal. I also had the Mobius software looper connected by USB to the Fractal... in fact this was a live looping improvisation first-take. Hence "the drunken lead guitarist" in the first verse and the "spastic tempo acceleration" in the final part. The first two bars I'm just playing the Stick and from bar #3 to bar#6 I'm also recording that into the looper. A funny thing with this Mobius looper is that you can apply real-time vari-speed while performing and that's what I'm doing here as you hear the loops of my played two notes bounce back at different pitch and different speed (during the INTRO, loop-catching). Then I simply keep on playing over that loop and improvising a few fitting chords with matching melodies. The drum track and female voice were added afterwards "in the box" (plus a little EQ fix here and there).
I'm not sure if this will go into the 2014 album, since it is a bit rough n rambling... We'll see what other people think about that, I'm not really objective to judge it's qualities as a first impression.

That's very cool. I love the initial idea, I like the textures, I like the stop-and-start nature of the drums. I see what you mean about the "rough & rambling" comment. I'd say with a little time away from it, ideas for refinement will occur to you, and it'll be perfect for the next album.
