Re: globalBEAT ripping!
They're great! Just too bad that the drummer bribed the person behind the camera. I mean, you don't even catch a glimpse of the stickist during his solo part

Re: globalBEAT ripping!
How did I know they were going to be marvellously effervescent, even before I hit play..?!

Re: globalBEAT ripping!
Thanks Gene, for posting. Is this a German group? Are they playing in front of the local DMV? And on a train in the French video. This trio is tight and effortless, shifting from one rhythmic groove to another.
The drummer knows his history and "produces" the music with all the phrasing and orchestration you'd expect from a seasoned trap drummer. His left foot is busy (to boot) tho unheard (he needs an array of metallic objects down there).
The Stick player kicks ass, especially with his jazz walking bass, and the rhythm never falters. Who is he?
Masters of weird venues, you never know where they'll pop up, or for how long (hard to catch). Where's the News Media on this one?

This is a cat named Christian Becker. Here a couple of links on his band GlobalBEAT: http://www.youtube.com/user/globalBEATtriohttps://www.facebook.com/pages/globalBEAT/228879300506902http://globalbeat.de/A nice lineup of instrumentalists - creative, original and very listenable. Good fun music

Re: globalBEAT ripping!
Thanks Gene for these links...I'm not sure but to answer to Emmett's question, I think this trio is Swiss-German...I have to double check though.
